In 2019, Katy was honored by her Alma-mater, Webster University when they asked her to deliver the commencement speech at their Centennial Graduation. She was further honored by receiving an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters.

Katy has worked very closely with Ready, Set, Gold! an organization that brings together the Southern California Committee for the Olympic Games and the Los Angeles Unified School District.
